Today is Valentines day and the problem that I am having is my Valentines is not here! She is still in Louisiana, at least until tomorrow evening. She has been gone since Wednesday and to say my life lacks excitement is a massive understatement.
First, Wednesday evening I attended a leadership meeting for women, to cast vision for their ministry. Then I stayed up until 1:30 am simply because it was too quite in the house for me to sleep, yeah I know... weird!
Thursday had a few meetings, work, finished my message, went to a Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting for Precision Personal Training which is a new business started by one of my cousins Donnie Middleton. Then it was on to a movie, "Taken" with Liam Neesom. The movie was good, slow in spots with a lot of action. The ending was not so good, and that is why I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Again I was up until around 1:30 or 2:00 am before I finally went to sleep only to wake up at 5:00 am.
Friday, after going back to sleep for a few hours I took the dry cleaning in, put my message in a template that I use to preach, grabbed a quick lunch, went grocery shopping, came how and watched a few movies and some NASCAR. I had planned on attending a V-Party/ Surpise B-day Party, but fell asleep during the movie and woke up with a back ache from laying wrong on the futon. Called Beth and said goodnight to the kids, then proceeded to stay up until 2:30 am because I couldn't sleep.
I know this is a riveting and action packed week, but what do you expect from a 40 yr. old pastor, who seems to be clueless without his family. Anyway, it's Valentines Day and my Valentine will be arriving tomorrow evening, so I will finally back in order and will get some much need sleep.
Later,
Ed
