This morning I was awakened to the sound of my wife taking my son's temperature while he was still trying to sleep. It seems that sickness has invaded our home. First, Camden was hit with "Strep" throat, that he had contracted from school. Following that Miranda was hit with high fever and body aches, the flu! NOW, Camden once again has a fever. All of this at a time when I am beginning a sermon series on Spiritual Warfare titled, "We Wrestle..."
I was told once that the enemy comes in to steal, kill and destroy in five areas: faith, family, marriage, finances and health. If that is the case then health has been his target and to the untrained eye, it would seem that he (the enemy) would be prevailing. The fact is he has only stirred us up to press into the Lord, seek God and receive a greater revelation to God's healing power.
So today, I rest in the strength of the Lord, clothed in the armor of God prepared to take back what the enemy is trying to steal, namely the health of my family. I know and understand that after this battle, there will be more to come in the different areas I described above. I even know that at times I will feel defeated and discouraged, however, this I also know... When I set my eyes on God and stand on His Word, the victory has already been assured.

way to go..preach on warfare and get us all sick! i'm just kidding. The fact is, there is always warfare, and you preaching on it is enabling us to see it and know how to stand against it. It absolutely seems that warfare is increased during this series but 'this is good' because we are able to recognize and act what we are being taught by you and shown by the spirit. So don't hold back, preach it strong! I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!
