Why is it so quiet?!

I hate it when Beth leaves town and I really hate it when she leaves and takes the kids! No, there is no marital strife in the Lafuente household, she has gone to see her mother, sister and brother in Bossier LA. The problem with her leaving and reason why I hate it so much is, I feel like I have no control. Yeah, I have issues... deal!

Beth is the most awesome person anyone could ever want in their life. She is beautiful on the inside and out, the most non-intentional funny person that I know and she makes home feel "right". When she is absent, things are not "right" in the house. Now, don't get me wrong, I love alone time, but only for a short time.

I am glad that she is seeing her family, they really need her right now and she is in so many ways a source of hope for them to look at and she is so dependable.

Alas, not only is she gone, she also took the kids. They were so excited to see Granny and even more jazzed to see their uncle Brook, who will no doubt spoil them beyond my comfort level. They will need to detox from all the spoiling when they get back!

Needless to say, I stayed up until 1:00 a.m. watching Fox News and the Discovery Channel (Prison Nation.... uh yeah that's relaxing!) just hoping I would fall asleep but continually thinking, "Why is it so quiet?" "Oh yeah, I don't here my son snoring, my daughter singing and I don't here Beth praying me to sleep!"
